Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Mesa Public Schools Foundation (The Foundation) operates as a support entity to the Mesa Unified School District No 4. The Foundation secures and distributes contributions for the benefit of students enrolled and adults working in the Mesa Unified School District.
Mesa Public Schools Gifts and Grants Program receives a block of funds from The Foundation at the beginning of the school year and distributes the funds through mini-grants. Teachers have access to these funds by completing a grant application and funds are awarded after careful review. Assistance in educating Mesa Public School students is the most appropriate use of these funds. Approximately 1,290 students benefited from our mini-grants in 2019, and another 10 benefitted from the recognition programs related to the mini grants.
The Here's Looking At You Kid Program provides eye care, including glasses, to the children who are in need. Five children were provided the eye care they needed in 2019.
The Step Ahead Program provides vouchers to school children in need of shoes. The vouchers can be used at any Payless Shoe Store. Nine students were able to obtain new shoes in 2019.
