REPAIRING HOMES, REVITALIZING COMMUNITIES, REBUILDING LIVES. WE IMPROVE LIVES AND BUILD HEALTHY COMMUNITIES THROUGH FALL PREVENTION PROGRAMS, COMMUNITY SPACE IMPROVEMENTS, AND CRITICAL HOME REPAIR FOR LOW-INCOME SENIORS, VETERANS, FAMILIES, AND DISABLED PERSONS.
Elevando Community Revitalization Program - Elevando is a community revitalization program to address critical home repairs and safer neighborhoods in distressed areas. The program consists of a national rebuilding day, which brings hundreds of volunteers together each April to repair homes and community spaces, and special projects which provide companies with employee engagement opportunities while helping their communities. Last year the program provided improvements for 353 economically disadvantaged individuals through home modifications; 850 children through school-based revitalization efforts; and critical home repairs for clients throughout the metro phoenix area.
Safe at Home -Volunteer-staffed providing no-cost home fall prevention modifications for low-income seniors and people with disabilities. The program includes installation of bathroom grab bars, safety accessories, and the construction and installation of wheelchair ramps. The program served more than 350 individuals in fiscal year 2019-20.
