THE ARIZONA CENTER FOR EMPOWERMENT ACE BEGAN OPERATIONS IN MAY 2010 WITH THE EXPRESS CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE OF EMPOWERING ARIZONAS LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME FAMILIES, ESPECIALLY MEMBERS OF THE STATES LARGE AND DIVERSE LATINO AND IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES, TO OVERCOME THE EFFECTS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INJUSTICE AND CREATE OPPORTUNITIES AND BENEFITS FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES. BY INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES FOR EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING, ACE SUPPORTS THE WORK OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND LEADERS WHO ARE TRANSFORMING THEIR COMMUNITIES TO CREATE A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR ALL ARIZONAS FAMILIES. IN 2019 WE PROVIDED 18 DACA RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIPS, CREATED 1,484 NEW CONTACTS FOR THE ORGANIZATION, 142 OF THOSE WERE ENGAGED VOLUNTEERS. WE ALSO COLLECTED 1,059 COMPLETED VOTER REGISTRATIONS.
