ARIZONA NEWSPAPERS ASSOCIATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO VARIOUS NEWSPAPERS THROUGHOUT ARIZONA.
Legislative and Lobbying Activities:Arizona Newspapers Association is the official voice of Arizona Newspapers in the state legislature. The Association retains a lobbyist who works proactively to protect newspapers business interest and First Amendment activities on the state, county, and local levels. During the legislative session, members receive a weekly legislative Alert newsletter to keep them informed on matters occurring at the Capitol.
Additional Services offered by Arizona Newspaper Association:Arizona Newspaper Association publishes a weekly newsletter This Week @ ANA providing members with trending topics in Journalism everything you need to know about your association, upcoming events, recent trends and more. Other services include Press cards, designed by the Arizona Newspapers Association, identify working journalists employed by member newspapers. Annual Convention and Education Seminar. Conventions and training seminars to keep up with whats going on in the Industry. These events allow newspaper professionals to network and advance their education and skills. Annual Awards Program honors exceptional news gathering and advertising. Includes the Freedom of Information Award for work published, broadcast or in the courts that has involved significant reliance on public records, open meetings, or freedom of information.ANA offers a Job Bank for member newspapers and We'll also post it in our weekly newsletter: 'This Week @ ANA'
