Organizations Filed Purposes: NAMI Valley of the Sun is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy.NAMI Valley of the Sun serves as a grassroots, family and peer-based organization deducated to educating and supporting those affected by mental illnesses and to improving the quality of life of those affected. Nami Valley of the Sun provides publice awareness, education, and support through educational programs, support groups, community forums and presentations, health fairs, and employee training programs that increase awareness and encourage understanding of the effects of mental illness on the individual, family, and community.NAMI shapes the public mental health policy landscape for people with mental illness and their families by providing grossroots volunteer leaders with the tools, resources, and skill necessary to imporve the quality of mental health care.

NAMI Valley of the Sun provides support, information, education, and advocacy for the mentally ill and their families. This year, we provided:132 in our own voice presentation, with 4,125 people reached47 community educational meetings, forums, presentations, health fairs with 4,179 people reached8 family classes with 130 attendees5 peer support group meetins with 483 attendees152 family support groups with 1,269 attendees
