PHOENIX RESCUE MISSION IS DEDICATED TO ENDING HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS IN MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA. NOT EVERYONE NEEDS SHELTER OR ADDICTION RECOVERY SERVICES. SOMETIMES IT'S SOMETHING SIMPLE LIKE A SHOWER OR HOT MEAL OR ASSISTANCE WITH A RESUME. OTHER TIMES A MORE EXTENSIVE INTERVENTION IS NEEDED TO HELP OUR CLIENTS FIND THEIR WAY BACK TO WHOLENESS. WHEREVER OUR CLIENT'S NEEDS FALL ON OUR SPECTRUM OF SERVICES, WE ARE ABLE TO RESCUE THEM OFF THE STREETS, ASSESS THEIR NEEDS, AND CONNECT THEM TO ONE OF OUR CHRIST-CENTERED PROGRAMS OR COMMUNITY RESOURCES THAT WILL BEST SERVE THEM. PHOENIX RESCUE MISSION'S COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM MEETS THE BASIC NEEDS OF AN INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS OR (CONT'D ON SCH. O) PERSONS/FAMILIES LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL. SERVICES PROVIDED: FOOD DISTRIBUTION AT HOPE FOR HUNGER FOOD BANK IN GLENDALE, CLOTHING FOR FAMILIES, VOCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING, CASE MANAGEMENT, AND COMMUNITY-FOCUSED EVENTS FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL, THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, AND EASTER. WE ALSO STRIVE TO BRING RESOURCES TO WHERE THE NEED IS LOCATED IN OUR COMMUNITY WITH OUR MOBILE PANTRIES FOR FOOD, HYGIENE, AND CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION. STREET OUTREACH CASE MANAGERS ENGAGE UNSHELTERED HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND OFFER THEM SERVICES DESIGNED TO REMOVE BARRIERS, END THEIR HOMELESSNESS, PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT, AND PROVIDE NECESSITIES, INCLUDING WATER, HYGIENE KITS, AND PRAYER.
