Organizations Filed Purposes: PROVIDE CHRIST-CENTERED, LIFE TRANSFORMING SOLUTIONS TO PERSONS FACING HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS.

PHOENIX RESCUE MISSION IS DEDICATED TO ENDING HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS IN MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA. NOT EVERYONE NEEDS SHELTER OR ADDICTION RECOVERY SERVICES. SOMETIMES IT'S SOMETHING SIMPLE LIKE A SHOWER OR HOT MEAL OR ASSISTANCE WITH A RESUME. OTHER TIMES A MORE EXTENSIVE INTERVENTION IS NEEDED TO HELP OUR CLIENTS FIND THEIR WAY BACK TO WHOLENESS. WHEREVER OUR CLIENT'S NEEDS FALL ON OUR SPECTRUM OF SERVICES, WE ARE ABLE TO RESCUE THEM OFF THE STREETS, ASSESS THEIR NEEDS, AND CONNECT THEM TO ONE OF OUR CHRIST-CENTERED PROGRAMS OR COMMUNITY RESOURCES THAT WILL BEST SERVE THEM. PHOENIX RESCUE MISSION'S COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM MEETS THE BASIC NEEDS OF AN INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS OR (CONT'D ON SCH. O) PERSONS/FAMILIES LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL. SERVICES PROVIDED: FOOD DISTRIBUTION AT HOPE FOR HUNGER FOOD BANK IN GLENDALE, CLOTHING FOR FAMILIES, VOCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING, CASE MANAGEMENT, AND COMMUNITY-FOCUSED EVENTS FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL, THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, AND EASTER. WE ALSO STRIVE TO BRING RESOURCES TO WHERE THE NEED IS LOCATED IN OUR COMMUNITY WITH OUR MOBILE PANTRIES FOR FOOD, HYGIENE, AND CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION. STREET OUTREACH CASE MANAGERS ENGAGE UNSHELTERED HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND OFFER THEM SERVICES DESIGNED TO REMOVE BARRIERS, END THEIR HOMELESSNESS, PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT, AND PROVIDE NECESSITIES, INCLUDING WATER, HYGIENE KITS, AND PRAYER. OTHER METHODS WE USE TO ENGAGE INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS ARE THROUGH DAY LABOR OPPORTUNITIES IN OUR "WILL WORK" PROGRAMS AND ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM THROUGH CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVERSION CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES. IN 2019, MISSION EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS ENGAGED WITH 1,012 MEN AND WOMEN LIVING UNSHELTERED, LEADING TO 131 HOMELESS STREET RESCUES BY PLACING THE INDIVIDUALS IN HOUSING OR PROGRAMS THAT MEET THEIR INDIVIDUAL NEEDS.

OUR MEN'S SOLUTIONS PROGRAMMING PROVIDES VARIOUS SHORT-TERM RESIDENTIAL OPTIONS FOR PERSONS FACING HOMELESS, ADDICTION, OR OTHER LIFE-CONTROLLING PROBLEMS. OUR RESCUE-ASSESS-PLACE (RAP) INTAKE PROGRAM IS A 7SEVEN TO 30-DAY RESIDENTIAL TRIAGE FOR MOTIVATED MEN FACING HOMELESS AND/OR SEEKING RECOVERY FROM ADDICTION, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, OR OTHER LIFE-CONTROLLING PROBLEMS. RAP ASSESSES CLIENTS IN ORDER TO PLACE THEM IN THE APPROPRIATE SOLUTIONS PATHWAY TO TRANSFORM THEIR LIVES. FOR THOSE CLIENTS WHO CAN GET BACK ON THEIR FEET QUICKLY, WE PROVIDE THE SOLUTIONS MINISTRY, WHICH HELPS THE CLIENT WITH JOB SEEKING, LIFE SKILLS AND ALLOWS EMPLOYED PERSONS TO STAY UP TO 120 DAYS. IN 2019, OUR VARIOUS RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS PROVIDED 88,165 NIGHTS OF SHELTER, AND 69 MEN AND WOMEN WERE BAPTIZED-CLIENTS WHO COMPLETED THE (CONT'D ON SCH.O) PROGRAM LEFT WITH A PERMANENT JOB AND STABLE HOUSING.

PHOENIX RESCUE MISSION PROVIDES A 12 TO 24-MONTH INTENSIVE RESIDENTIAL RECOVERY CONTINUUM OF PROGRAMMING FOR MEN, WOMEN, AND MOTHERS WITH CHILDREN WHO HAVE ADDICTIONS OR OTHER LIFE-CONTROLLING PROBLEMS. THE TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO MEET PERSONS AT THEIR POINT OF NEED AND GUIDE THEM TO HEALTHY, INDEPENDENT LIVING.
