Provides feeding and distribution activities to agents and other organizations who are working to reduce animal suffering as a result of hunger, poverty, disease, war, natural disasters, and other circumstances creating widespread animal need, as well as supporting organizations which engage in diabetes and cancer prevention research, supplying medical aid throughout the State of Arizona, the United States, and appropriate foreign countries. In addition, we can help to reduce the environmental impact of sending non-marketable food to landfills by setting up a distribution network of agents and agencies for needy, abandoned, and hungry animals. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, the food in landfills is a significant source of methane gas that has a potent greenhouse gas with 21 times the global warming potential of carbon dioxide. Landfills account for more than 20 percent of all methane emissions. Our program of alternative uses of this unmarketable food reduces the greenhouse gas effects of landfills while feeding these needy, abandoned, and hungry animals.
