VALLEY LEADERSHIPS HAS A MISSION TO ENHANCE THE ABILITIES OF INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE AND STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITIES. THE ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO BRINGING LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS TO MEN, WOMEN, AND YOUTH TO ENHANCE THE ABILITY OF LEADERS TO SERVE AND STRENGTHEN THE PHOENIX METROPOLITAN COMMUNITY. THE ORGANIZATION STRIVES TO PROVIDE PEOPLE OF DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES AND BACKGROUNDS FROM BOTH THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT, LEARN AND LEAD. THE ORGANIZATION FOSTERS DIALOGUE, PROMOTES GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF COMMUNITY ISSUES AND BRINGS TOGETHER PEOPLE OF VARYING AGES, GENDER, ECONOMIC STATUS AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND.
VALLEY LEADERSHIP HAS A MISSION TO ENHANCE THE ABILITIES OF INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE AND STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITIES.
LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE IS DESIGNED TO BROADEN AND DEVELOP THE SKILLS AND NETWORKING OF EXISTING AND EMERGING LEADERS, CHALLENGE CRITICAL THINKING, EXPOSE LEADERS TO NEW PERSPECTIVES, OFFER OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE AN IMPACT, AND INSPIRE INDIVIDUALS TO LEAD AND SERVE IN NEW WAYS. THE PROGRAM RUNS ANNUALLY FROM SEPTEMBER TO JUNE WITH 50 PARTICIPANTS. PROGRAMS COMPLETED BY PARTICIPANTS INCLUDE A LEADERSHIP RETREAT AND CURRICULUM TOPIC INCLUDING HISTORY AND ECONOMY OF THE VALLEY, HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, MEDIA, GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC POLICY, INFRASTRUCTURE, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND ARTS AND CULTURE. LEADERS AT ALL STAGES OF THEIR CAREERS FIND THE PROGRAM A LIFE CHANGING ENDEAVOR THAT HAS ALLOWED THEM TO GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL IN THEIR CAREERS AND PERSONAL LIVES. THE PARTICIPANTS EXPERIENCE AN INCREASED AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF COMMUNITY, DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS, HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY THE SKILLS TO COMMUNITY ISSUES, AND CREATE A BROAD NETWORK OF PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS.
LEADERSHIP ACCELARATE GIVES PARTICIPANTS THE LAY OF THE LAND ON HOT ISSUES FACING ARIZONA AND CONNECTS INVIDIDUALS WITH OTHERS ALREADY WORKING ON SOLUTIONS. THIS IS A SHORTER-TERM PROGRAM THAT GETS PARTICIPANTS UP-TO-SPEED WITH SHORT, BURST-STYLE PROGRAMMING, INTERACTION WITH THE PEOPLE MAKING A DIFFERENCE AND THE OPPORTUNITIES TO GET INVOLVED. THIS PROGRAM HELPS INDIVIDUALS FIND THEIR PURPOSE AND MOBILIZES THEM TO HAVE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY.
IMPACT MAKER PROGRAM CONNECTS, LEVERAGE, AND MOBILIZES LEADERS TO HAVE MEANINGFUL IMPACT ON THE MOST PRESSING ISSUES FACING ARIZONA. THE IMPACT MAKER IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF VALLEY LEADERSHIP'S "PIVOT TO IMPACT": STRATEGIC WORK THAT ALIGNS VALLEY LEADERSHIP'S PROGRAMMING, OPERATIONS AND GOVERNANCE SYSTEMS TO ACT TOGETHER IN ORDER TO HAVE INTENTIONAL IMPACT ON ISSUES FACING ARIZONA.
