Giving refuge to non-releasable, rescued wildlife while providing conservation through exhibition and public education.
During the year; the zoo completed and held a grand opening for an Eagle exhibit, built an additional Lemur exhibit enclosure, reconstructed and modified the Wolf night house and exhibit, the Serval exhibit, the Bobcat exhibit, and built turn out pens for domestic livestock, new shade ramadas for the Sika deer, Mule deer, donkey, and pronghorn exhibits, and a furniture and platform additions to the Bobcat, Fox, Lynx and clouded Leopard exhibits. Additionally, they built heated night boxes for Lemurs, Wallaby, Serval, Racoon, and Hryax. In addition to exhibit construction, the zoo built a new storage holding area, repainted and modifications were made to the gift shops, animal kitchen and bathroom. The zoo purchased new capture equipment, purchased and installed two emergency preparation weapons cabinets, and completed a build of an animal transportation crate.
