Organizations Filed Purposes:
To enhance the O'odham Himdag (language and culture) by strengthening families through holistic and quality higher education.
To enhance the unique Tohono O'Odham Himdag through holistic, quality education services.
National Science Foundation Science Technology Education and Math award of 2.5 million over 5 years made in 2018 to support the College's programs in science and to support development of a physical science degree by 2020. This initiative supports the existing science program at the College by providing support to hire qualified science faculty and to integrate the science program into the traditional O'odham Himdag (language and culture). The grant funds of $500,000/annum supplement the operational funds the College provides through faculty salaries and benefits and those of support personnel.
Apprenticeship programs: TOCC provides training and experience in building trade including Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Heavy Equipment Operation, and Culinary Arts. TOCC also offers certificates in Early Childhood Education, Substance Abuse Prevention, and Gaming. The Certificates and the Apprenticeship Programs are designed so that they can lead to gainful employment.
The College provides support for students through the Student Services Division and the Student Life Department. Those entities provide advising support, counseling services, security of the campus, financial aid access, food service, and career counseling.
