Organizations Filed Purposes:
Provide the general public educational programs to learn and practice Duplicate Bridge by offering classes, training, mentoring, educational materials and practice/playing opportunities for beginning, intermediate and advanced players.
Providing education, training, practice and play of Duplicate Bridge for the general public. We also collect donations at certain of our events for distribution to other local charities and make our facility available, at no cost, to periodic community fundraising events.
Classes were offered to the general public in Duplicate Bridge. Classes were available 3-5 days a week throughout the year. Class sizes vary from 8 to 40 individuals and usually last 6 weeks. Each subject involves one session a week. Although instructor and textbook costs are tracked, other expenses are allocated on a percentage of revenue basis. Classes are conducted in our Main Hall or our Casita Building. Expenses noted are for the class instructors.
Practice, playing and mentoring sessions are conducted 6-7 days a week. They last approximately 3 hours per session. Depending on the day one or two sessions are conducted each day. Sessions are conducted in our Main Hall or our Casita Building. Expenses noted are for Directors who supervise the sessions.
Donations are collected via a $1 surcharge during certain playing sessions. Members nominate charities and then vote for two charities to receive funds collected. Includes carry over from previous year.
