Organizations Filed Purposes: DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATION MISSION:OUR COUNCIL, HEADQUARTERED IN TUCSON, SERVES COCHISE, PIMA, SANTA CRUZ AND PART OF PINAL COUNTIES. OUR MISSION IS TO DELIVER FUN AND EXCITING EXPERIENCES, THROUGH STRONG SCOUTING UNITS, WHICH BUILD BETTER YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH OUTDOOR ADVENTURES THAT DEVELOP CHARACTER FOR A LIFETIME OF SERVICE. WE DELIVER ON THIS PROMISE WITH OUR GREAT VOLUNTEERS AND BY USING OUR NEARBY SCOUT CAMPS, CAMP LAWTON ATOP MT LEMMON AND DOUBLE V SCOUT RANCH IN TUCSON.

THE MISSION OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA IS TO PREPARE YOUNG PEOPLE TO MAKE ETHICAL AND MORAL CHOICES.

TRADITIONAL SCOUTING:--CELEBRATED CATALINA COUNCIL'S 100TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A CENTENNIAL CAMPOREE AT DOUBLE V. WE SERVED 6,107 YOUTH IN 279 SCCOUTING UNITS.--195 SCOUTS BSA MEMBERS EARNED THE EAGLE RANK CONTRIBUTING OVER 30,000 SERVICE HOURS.--2,064 CUB SCOUTS ADVANCED A RANK, 1,297 SCOUTS BSA YOUTH ADVANCED A RANK.--6,204 MERIT BADGES WERE EARNED BY SCOUTS BSA MEMBERS.--371 OF OUR SCOUTS BSA ATTENDED SUMMER CAMP AT CAMP LAWTON AND 388 ATTENDED A CAMP OUTSIDE OF OUR COUNCIL. 78 YOUTH ATTENDED A NATIONAL ADVENTURE BASE.--370 CUB SCOUTS ATTENDED DAY CAMP, 470 ATTENDED OUR CENTENNIAL FAMILY CAMPER.--OUR PERCENTAGE OF DIRECT CONTACT LEADERS TRAINED IMPROVED.STEM SCOUTING:OUR COED SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING & MATH PROGRAM GREW BY 19% AND WAS ADOPTED BY ONE OF OUR SCHOL DISTRICTS AS AN OFFICIAL AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM.
