Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona works toward ensuring that all people have the opportunity to reach their potential and contribute to our community. Through quality, evidence-based, workforce development programs; Goodwill Industries of Southern (continued at Schedule O) Arizona served 5,680 people last year. Those served include low-income, at-risk, and adjudicated youth; veterans; young adult ex-offenders; and low-income, unemployed, and underemployed adults. Of the 5,680 people served last year, 41% were served with revenue self-generated by our Goodwill retail sales and 59% were served through grants and/or funding assistance from federal grants, the State of AZ-Division of Developmental Disabilities, the Pima County AZ@Work system, the City of Tucson-Economic & Workforce Development, the United Way of Southern AZ, and other community partners.

Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, Inc. operates 16 thrift stores, one Boutique, two outlets, e-commerce sales, and a salvage operation in Southern Arizona. Goodwill's retail program gave back to the community by providing over 500 jobs at these retail locations. $14,757,758 was earned in wages and benefits by Goodwill employees, supporting the local economy. 1,504,360 people benefitted from low-cost purchases in our stores. 488,185 donors provided donated material goods. 29,291,100 pounds of goods were recycled and diverted from landfills.Beginning in March 2020, both the retail operations and program services provided by Goodwill Industries of (continued at Schedule O) Southern Arizona were significantly impacted by the COVID-19 global pandemic. Retail stores were closed for a minimum of six weeks and adult and youth workforce development programs were limited during that time. In May, retail store operations and workforce development program services resumed following federal, state, and local recommendations concerning safety.
