Organizations Filed Purposes: INTERMOUNTAIN CENTERS FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT PROVIDES OUT OF HOME AND HOME- BASED SUPPORT SERVICES TO A VARIETY OF AT-RISK POPULATIONS INCLUDING CHILDREN AND YOUTH WHO ARE EMOTIONALLY AND BEHAVIORALLY CHALLENGED, ADULTS WHO HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS, AND INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. THE MISSION OF INTERMOUNTAIN CENTERS FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT IS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST QUALITY, COMMUNITY-BASED, INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES IN THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE MANNER TO AT-RISK POPULATIONS.

THE CHILDREN'S BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAM IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA SERVES CHILDREN IN SPECIALIZED GROUP HOMES (SUCH AS SUBSTANCE ABUSE, HIGH NEEDS, AND BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENT SETTINGS), THERAPUTIC AND REGULAR FOSTER HOMES, AND FAMILY HOMES. THE MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT OF THIS PROGRAM IS THAT IT ALLOWS CHILDREN AND FAMILIES TO RECEIVE CLINICIAN DIRECTED, COMMUNITY-BASED, PROGRAMMING AND CARE (AT THE LOWEST COST TO TAX PAYERS AND CONSUMERS). THIS ALLOWS FOR AN EFFECTIVE THERAPUTIC TRANSITION THROUGH LEVELS OF CARE AND REINTEGRATION INTO THE COMMUNITY.

THE PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DELAYED CHILDREN AND ADULTS SERVES INDIVIDUALS IN GROUP HOMES, CHILD AND ADULT DEVELOPMENTAL HOMES, AND IN A DAY TREATMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAM.

INTERMOUNTAIN CENTERS' INTERMOUNTAIN ACADEMY OFFERS THE GREATER TUCSON COMMUNITY A POSITIVE TEACHING ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUTH WITH SPECIALIZED NEEDS - A SCHOOL THAT BUILDS ON EACH INDIVIDUAL CHILD'S STRENGTHS AND INTERESTS. THE ACADEMY CURRENTLY SUPPORTS CHILDREN WITH AUTISM (GRADES K-12) WITH A PROVISION OF MEASURABLE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT FOLLOWING AN APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS (ABA) MODEL. 82 STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED IN THE ACADEMY
