EXPERIMENTAL ECONOMICS EDUCATION THE FOUNDATION MADE RESTRICTED GRANTS TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN EXPERIMENTAL ECONOMICS. SOME SUPPORTED ACTIVITIES WERE CANCELLED OR POSTPONED DUE TO THE WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC. IN JANUARY, THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED A WEEK-LONG GRADUATE STUDENT WORKSHOP IN EXPERIMENTAL ECONOMICS AT CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY, ATTENDED BY 22 GRADUATE STUDENTS FROM THE UNITED STATES AND AROUND THE WORLD. IN FEBRUARY, THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE BOGOTA (COLOMBIA) EXPERIMENTAL ECONOMICS WORKSHOP & CONFERENCE, ATTRACTING PARTICIPANTS FROM LATIN AMERICA, NORTH AMERICA, EUROPE AND AUSTRALIA. A GRANT SUPPORTED THE PARTICIPATION OF 13 UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS FOR FIVE WEEKS IN A VIRTUAL SUMMER SCHOLARS AND MENTORING PROGRAM HELD AT CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY. FROM JUNE THROUGH JULY, THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED A VIRTUAL UNDERGRADUATE WORKSHOP ON COMPUTATIONAL EXPERIMENTAL ECONOMICS AT GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY FOR 7 UNDERGRADUATE INTERNS FROM THE US, CHINA AND PERU. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED 6 LECTURES HELD AT CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY AS PART OF A LECTURE SERIES.

FELLOWSHIPS AND SCHOLARSHIPSTHE FOUNDATION MADE FELLOWSHIP PAYMENTS TO TWO IFREE DISTINGUISHED FELLOWS AND TO THE 2020 RECIPIENT OF THE VERNON L. SMITH ASCENDING SCHOLAR PRIZE, ANYA SAMEK.
