WE HELP PEOPLE OF ANY RELIGION OR ETHNIC ORIGIN MEET THEIR FULL POTENTIAL BY RESTORING THEIR WELL-BEING, CULTIVATING SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND STRENGTHENING FAMILY LIFE.

QUALITY SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE JEWISH AND GREATER TUCSON COMMUNITY.

COUNSELING SERVICES FOR ALLPERSON-CENTERED TRAUMA-INFORMED COUNSELING AND THERAPY - HELPS SUPPORT PEOPLE OF ALL AGES WHO STRUGGLE WITH ISSUES OF ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, TRAUMA, GRIEF, AND OTHER MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. OUR MASTERS-LEVEL LICENSED CLINICIANS HELP PEOPLE LEARN COPING SKILLS AND REGAIN SELF-SUFFICIENCY. WE HELP PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE REGARDLESS OF FAITH, AGE, RACE, GENDER IDENTITY, OR ETHNICITY. PROJECT SAFE PLACE - IS A HAVEN FOR HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA DUE TO ABUSE, NEGLECT, AND VIOLENCE. PROJECT SAFE PLACE ADDRESSES COPING, SAFETY, AND HEALING; VICTIMS BECOME SURVIVORS. JFCS IS THE ONLY AGENCY IN THE GREATER TUCSON AREA PROVIDING THIS LEVEL OF TRAUMA-INFORMED THERAPY AT NO COST FOR AS LONG AS NEEDED. FAMILY PRESERVATION PROGRAM - A PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES INVOLVED WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SERVICES. EACH REFERRED FAMILY IS ASSIGNED TO A TREATMENT TEAM CONSISTING OF AN IN-HOME COUNSELOR AND AN IN-HOME FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER. THE FOCUS IS ON PRESERVING THE FAMILY UNIT BY TEACHING THE CAREGIVERS MORE ADAPTIVE COPING SKILLS AND PARENTING SKILLS, ASSISTING THE FAMILY WITH CONNECTING TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES, AS WELL AS HELPING THE FAMILY PROCESS PAST TRAUMA AND CURRENT PROBLEMS. SCHOOL-BASED SERVICES - JFCS PARTNERS WITH TUCSON HEBREW ACADEMY TO PROVIDE A LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER ON-SITE TO SUPPORT THE STUDENTS, THEIR FAMILIES AND FACULTY.

JEWISH COMMUNITY SERVICESLEAH (LET'S END ABUSIVE HOUSEHOLDS) - LEAH OFFERS A JEWISH RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC ABUSE THROUGH AN ANNUAL PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP, INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING THROUGH JFCS CLINICAL SERVICES, COMMUNITY LINKAGES, AND ADVOCACY FOR JEWISH INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.CHAI CIRCLE - OFFERS A MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP FOR JEWISH WOMEN WHO HAVE OR HAVE HAD CANCER, WITH THE BELIEF IN THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING EACH OTHER FOR ENCOURAGEMENT, MENTORING, SOCIALIZATION, SPIRITUALITY, AND EVEN HUMOR. CHAI CIRCLE ALSO HOLDS AN ANNUAL RETREAT.JEWISH EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (JEFA) - OFFERS SHORT-TERM EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO JEWISH INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO AVOID EVICTION, JOB LOSS, UTILITY SHUT OFF, AND HUNGER. MITZVAH MAGIC, MATZA & MORE, AND KOSHER THANKSGIVING MAKE JEWISH CELEBRATIONS AND HOLIDAYS SHINE A LITTLE BRIGHTER FOR THOSE IN NEED.JEWISH ELDER ACCESS (JEA) - PROVIDES REFERRAL SOURCES FOR CAREGIVING, HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE NEEDS OF LOW-INCOME JEWISH OLDER ADULTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS PROGRAM - PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT, COUNSELING, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, IN-HOME SUPPORT SERVICES, AND SOCIALIZATION FOR HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS LIVING IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA. THE FRIENDLY VISITORS PROJECT SENDS TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO THE HOMES OF HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS TO PROVIDE COMPANIONSHIP AND REDUCE ISOLATION. THE JFCS SURVIVORS' STORIES PROJECT HAS PUBLISHED TWO VOLUMES OF "TO TELL OUR STORIES: HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS OF SOUTHERN ARIZONA" WHICH CONSISTS OF A TOTAL OF 81 TESTIMONIES FROM HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS LIVING IN TUCSON MANY OF WHOM COME TO JFCS FOR CARE MANAGEMENT SERVICES. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, SURVIVORS SHARE THEIR STORIES IN PUBLIC LIBRARIES AND OTHER COMMUNITY VENUES.

COMMUNITY SERVICES FOR ALLHOME - HELPS LOW-INCOME PEOPLE OF ALL AGES HAVE ACCESS TO THE SAFETY AND DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY AND WITH DIGNITY. WE PROVIDE NEW DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS WALKERS, WHEELCHAIRS, GRAB BARS AND SHOWER CHAIRS TO IMPROVE MOBILITY AND HOME SAFETY. SELECT CARE - PROVIDES PERSONALIZED GUIDANCE AND CARE MANAGEMENT FOR OLDER ADULTS AND THOSE WITH DISABILITIES DUE TO AGING, CHRONIC OR SUDDEN ILLNESS. THE SELECT CARE TEAM SERVE AS A SUPPORT SYSTEM DURING LIFE'S TRANSITIONS; EXPLAINING OPTIONS, PRIORITIZING NEEDS, COORDINATING SERVICES AND NAVIGATING THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. ETHICAL WILL PROJECT - EMPOWERS COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH A TRANSFORMATIONAL TOOL FOR LIVING, AGING AND DYING WELL. UNLIKE OTHER WILLS THAT DEAL WITH MATERIAL POSSESSIONS OR MEDICAL DIRECTIVES, AN ETHICAL WILL LEAVES A LEGACY OF PERSONAL REFLECTIONS, VALUES AND WISDOM.
