NAMI Southern Arizona is dedicated to the eradication of mental illness and to the improvement of quality of life of all of those affected by providing stigma-free education, advocacy and support.
NAMI SAs mission is to improve the lives of individuals living with mental illness by reducing the associated stigma. The mission is accomplished through education, support and advocacy programs. Education programs gave over 220 presentations to more than 5,800 participants. Advocates assisted individuals with connection to treatment and support services. Social Media reached 2,800 followers. Volunteers contributed over 1550 hours at 16 outreach events prior to COVID shutdown. Our Help and Hope for Youth initiative brought together 50 individuals and organizations into an Alliance to support mental health education for youth.
