The mission of SSVDP is to promote the spiritual growth of its members through prayer, friendship, and service to others.
The Tucson Diocesan Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul supports the charitable work of 34 subsidiary conferences throughout Southern Arizona. Members of the Society conduct in-person visits to the homes of those requesting assistance and provide temporary help in the form of food, furniture, clothing, rent and mortgage payments, medical bills, utility payments, and other necessities to allow those we serve to recover from unforeseen difficulties and, once again, become productive members of society. During the past fiscal year our 736 active and associate members assisted over 67,500 individuals during 18,235 in-person contacts.
