St. Lukes Home is a 64-unit assisted living facility licensed to provide assisted living services at the supervisory and personal care level for Elders with limited financial means. It is the project of St. Lukes in the Desert, Inc., the 501(c)(3) organization which oversees the needs of the home. Originally founded as a tuberculosis sanatorium for individuals of limited means, it has maintained since 1917 its commitment to low-income individuals with a shift in focus in 1980 to an assisted living community for Elders.
