MUSEUM ADMISSIONS FOR EDUCATIONAL TOURS ARE APPROX 400-900 GUESTS PER MONTH. REGULARLY HOSTS SCHOOL TOURS AND CLASSES FOR FREE, FOCUSING ON THE HISTORY AND ARTS OF THE DESERT SOUTHWEST. THIS YEAR THE MUSEUM SHOWED A MAJOR RETROSPECTIVE (OVER 45 PAINTINGS FROM PUBLIC AND PRIVATE COLLECTIONS) OF PIONEER PLEIN AIR ARTIST EFFIE ANDERSON SMITH.
PROVIDE SPACE FOR LOCAL ARTISTS TO DISPLAY AND SELL THEIR WORK TO MUSEUM GUESTS. EDUCATE THE GUESTS ABOUT THE REGIONAL CULTURE AND HISTORY OF THE SUBJECT MATTER.
GALLERY DISPLAYS POTTERY, JEWELRY, AND ARTWORK FOR SALE TO MUSEUM GUESTS. ALL ITEMS FOR SALE FOCUS ON THE DESERT SOUTHWEST AND REGIONAL CULTURE. EVERY ITEM INCLUDES INFORMATIVE EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL ABOUT THE CULTURAL GROUP, ARTIST, AND HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE.
