THE MISSION OF THE TUCSON JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER (TJCC) IS TO CULTIVATE AND ENRICH JEWISH IDENTITY, ENSURE JEWISH CONTINUITY, FOSTER WELLNESS, AND BROADEN COMMUNAL HARMONY. THE VISION IS TO STRIVE TO BE AN OUTSTANDING JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER IN AMERICA BY BEING THE FOLLOWING: THE CENTER OF JEWISH LIFE, A STATE-OF-THE-ART SPORTS AND FITNESS FACILITY, A TOP-NOTCH EARLY CHILDHOOD FACILITY, A LEADER IN INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING AND SPECIAL EVENTS, AND A COMMUNITY BUILDER AND ENABLER.

EARLY CHILDHOOD AND CAMP: THE TUCSON JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER (TJCC) WAS FORMED IN 1949 AND IS STEEPED IN THE TRADITION OF OFFERING EXCITING YEAR- ROUND PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE OF EVERY AGE, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN. CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING BEGINS AT 6 WEEKS OLD WITH OUR INFANT/TODDLER PROGRAM AND CONTINUES THROUGH ADOLESCENCE WITH OUR TEEN/YOUTH PROGRAMS. OUR EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM (ECE) SERVES MORE THAN 300 CHILDREN DAILY YEAR-ROUND. OUR SUMMER CAMPING PROGRAMS ARE ACCREDITED BY THE AMERICAN CAMPING ASSOCIATION. (ACA) AND SERVE APPROXIMATELY 500 CHILDREN. MANY OF OUR EARLY CHILDHOOD AND CAMP PARTICIPANTS ARE ABLE TO ATTEND THROUGH FEE REDUCTIONS GRANTED BASED ON FINANCIAL NEED. LAST YEAR WE GAVE OUT 1,164,454 IN SCHOLARSHIPS AND DISCOUNTS FOR PROGRAMMING AND MEMBERSHIP.
MEMBERSHIP, SPORTS AND FITNESS: OVER 18,000 PEOPLE ENTER OUR DOOR EACH WEEK. THE TJCC SERVES OVER 6500 MEMBERS INCLUDING CHILDREN, TEENS, SINGLE PARENTS, SINGLE ADULTS, FAMILIES AND SENIORS. BOASTING A FULL-SERVICE SPORTS AND FITNESS CENTER, OVER 5000 VISITS PER WEEK UTILIZING OUR FITNESS EQUIPMENT, GYMNASIUM, TENNIS, AND RACQUETBALL AND SQUASH COURTS, AND AN AQUATIC COMPLEX INCLUDING A SPLASH PARK.
YOUTH AND SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAMS: OFFERING AFTER-SCHOOL CARE TO OVER 130 CHILDREN PER DAY AND PROGRAMMING FOR ELEMENTARY THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL AGE YOUTH, THE TJCC PROVIDES A SAFE AND FUN OUT-OF-SCHOOL EXPERIENCE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. SOME OF OUR PROGRAMMING INCLUDES SCHOOL DAYS OUT, YOUTH SPORTS LEAGUES, SWIM TEAM, MACCABI GAMES, AND CULTURAL ARTS CLASSES. THROUGH SPECIAL NEEDS SERVICES WE PROVIDE A YEAR ROUND DAY PROGRAM FOR YOUNG ADULTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, AN INCLUSIVE SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM AND RESPITE CARE FOR MORE THAN 135 CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS PER YEAR.
