Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission is to provide the children and families we serve with the necessary supports, skills and resources they need to be empowered and strengthened. To this end, we provide an after school program, a Saturday academy (which is an extension of the after school program), intensive mentoring program, summer camp, and various other support groups and activities for the development of at risk children and their families.

The after school program serviced 20 children (ages 5-13) in 2015, running Monday-Thursday at 3:00-5:30 PM. In addition, a Saturday Academy was conducted for those children who need extra help, serving children (ages 5-13) in 2015, running 8:00-12:00 Saturday morning. These programs are for children who have been identified as having behavioral and mental health challenges and do not fit into a traditional after school program. We offer a structured learning environment that encourages learning on all levels educationally, socially, emotionally, and recreationally. Areas that are covered are homework assistance, tutoring, cooking, computers, social skills, life skills, recreation and recreationally. Areas that are covered are homework assistance, tutoring, cooking, computers, social skills, life skills, recreation and also collaborate with community agencies and providers to systematically meet the goals of the children. Our objective is to provide a safe after school environment that helps children to develop transferable skills necessary to experience success at home, in school, and with their communities.

The summer camp program is a 6 week summer program filled with fun learning activities and outings. There were 40 children (ages 5-13) involved in 2015. This is an extension of our after school program serving children with behavioral and/or mental healthchallenges. Besides the fun aspect, we also include learning activities to develop the social and life skills needed by the childrento better succeed in their schools and communities.

The Back to School Expo is an annual event in August designed to bring together needy families and various community providers. The event is free to the community and children were able to get free book bags to prepare them for the upcoming school year. We had 800 people in attendance and we distributed over 1,500 book bags. There were also over 50 community providers distributing resources and information to all those in attendance.
