To enhance patient safety by supporting the health and well-being of CT health professionals. HAVEN offers a confidential alternative for healthcare professionals facing the challenges of chemical dependency, emotional or behavioral disorders or physical and mental illness. HAVEN is a resource for healthcare professionals to seek help before patient harm occurs without fear of public disclosure or public regulatory action.
HAVEN accomplishes its mission through (1) education and prevention, (2) early identification and intervention, (3) referral for evaluation and treatment, and (4) support and accountability. In 2019, 459 professionals benefitted from services, 51 inquiries were responded to, 126 attended our annual conference, and 31 presentations were made throughout the State.
