Riverfront Childrens Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization established to provide full time, high quality, affordable child care and educational services while comprehensively nurturing the unique needs of children and their families. The organization provides full time NAEYC accredited and State licensed child care to children of working and training families year round. Riverfront Childrens Center supports the full wrap-around needs of each family enrolled. We served 173 children with high quality early care and education that included serving 110 families with wrap-around support services like food, clothing, housing, transportation assistance, holiday gifts and counseling referrals.
Education and human services.1. 37% of families live below the federal poverty level and 48% are Asset Limited, Income Constrained and Employed (ALICE) families who do not earn a wage that allows them to fully support their family. These families receive tuition subsidies through state and federal grants and/or scholarships from donations and fundraising.2. 92% of the infants and toddlers enrolled in the program for 9 months or longer are meeting gross and fine motor skill, problem solving, personal/social, and communication benchmarks, as measured by the Ages and Stages Questionnaire. 3. 94% of three to five year old children enrolled in the center for one year or longer are meeting developmental milestones in five assessment areas (language, literacy, creative/aesthetic, early math, physical motor skills).
