Early child care and education.The program, now in its tenth year of operation, became accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The program also obtained funding by the State of Connecticut to provide services to its inner-city children through a renewable School Readiness Grant. This funding, awarded for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, enables the program to maintain its efforts to prepare young children for kindergarten entry. The program serves 52 children and their families year round.
