To provide community service with an emphasis on establishing and maintaining a volunteer ambulance service.

The Lions Volunteer Ambulance Service provides medical assessment and transportation to area hospitals for residents in need of emergency medical care. The ambulance offers training in CPR to people of our community. It also provides mutual aid to neighboring Towns.
Community Service Projects and donations to local and International Lions Club Charities provide help to residents of our Town and State. In 2019 the Lions Club raised over $40,000 for the ambulance. The Lions Club also funds local activities such as vision evaluations at the local school, and non-profits such as the low vision center of torrington CT, as well as their lions club international foundation.In 2019, The Lions Club awarded a total of $3,000 in scholarships to Norfolk High School seniors who have exhibited outstanding service to the community, excellence in scholarship and/or outstanding participation in sports or other areas.
