HUMAN HEALTH IS AT THE CENTER OF OUR ENVIRONMENTAL AGENDA.

DEDICATED TO PROTECTING HUMAN HEALTH FROM ENVIRONMENTAL HARMS THROUGH RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND THE PROMOTION OF SOUND PUBLIC POLICY.

EHHI HAD AN AVERAGE OF MORE THAN 2,600 PEOPLE VISITING OUR WEBSITE PER MONTH FOR THE FISCAL YEAR. OUR TWITTER ACCOUNT HAD 4,251 VISITORS A MONTH READING OUR POSTS, FACEBOOK HAS OVER 600 PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW US ON OUR DAILY POSTING, AND OUR EJOURNAL GETS ABOUT 2,000 VISITORS A MONTH. THIS EXTENSIVE READERSHIP ALLOWS EHHI TO GET ITS RESEARCH AND POLICY INITIATIVES OUT TO THE PUBLIC IN THIS COUNTRY AND ABROAD. OUR PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:1. WE HAVE RESEARCHED AND WRITTEN A REPORT ON THE "RISKS OF PESTICIDES FROM OUR FARMS AND OUR HOMES." 2. WE HAVE WORKED ON REDUCING PLASTIC USES AT THE STATE AND THE FEDERAL LEVELS. 3. WE HAVE WORKED ON TRASH REDUCTION INITIATIVES.4. WE HAVE WRITTEN NUMEROUS OP-EDS - ONE ON WHY EXPANDING THE CT BOTTLE BILL REDEMPTION LAW IS IMPORTANT IF WE ARE TO REDUCE PLASTIC IN OUR WASTE STREAM.5. WE HAVE WORKED WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM THEIR NEIGHBOR'S USE OF WOODBURNING BY GIVING THEM INFORMATION ON HOW TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AND WHAT THE LAW PROVIDES THEM.6. WE HAVE WORKED AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL TO MAINTAIN THE NEW EPA REGULATIONS CONTROLLING OUTDOOR WOOD FURNACE EMISSIONS.7. WE WORKED TO PROTECT CHILDREN, STUDENTS AND ATHLETES FROM SYNTHETIC TURF FIELDS AND RUBBER TIRE PLAYGROUND MULCH
