The Arc of Quinebaug Valley, Inc. is a nonprofit human services agency committed to supporting individuals (and their families) with intellectual, developmental, and other life affecting disabilities.

Day Service programs provide individuals with disabilities the ability to participate in daily activities, education and community inclusion. Community experience is an integrated program within Day Services which consists of social, vocational and recreational opportunities for individuals who may be transitioning from work to retirement. Classes are also essential in day programs as individuals are able to learn something new each and every day. Our classroom style programming offers classes in cooking, sports, nature, music, fine motor exercises, sign language and so much more.

Supported Living programs assist individuals and their families in creating a secure and safe home environment suitable to a person's desires and needs. By utilizing The Arc's mission and values, The Arc provides individuals with the necessary building blocks to further enhance their quality of life and promotes individuality across all areas of residential life and community activities. Services support skill development within or out of the home and provide education and assistance with regards to daily living.

The essence of our Community Living Arrangement (CLA) program is to promote individuality across all areas of residential life and community activities. Individuals placed in a CLA home live together which enables them to build relationships with one another, as well as learn valuable life skills on a daily basis. These homes are staffed 24/7 with skilled employees that ensure safety, proper hygiene and meaningful activities and learning opportunities for those we support.
