Provide food and clothing subsidies to needy individuals in the Plainville, CT community.
Food Pantry- During the period January 1, 2019 through December 31,2019 the organization distributed approximatly 7,986 bags of groceries totaling 101,639 pounds of food and non-food items (ie, tolietries and paper goods) to the needy households within the Plainville community. There were a total of 2,173 visits to the Pantry from its clients during 2019.
Fuel Bank- During the period January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019 the organization provided emergency energy assistance to 11 Plainville households who demostrated a financial crisis and who exhausted all other resources. The source of these funds comes from an annual private grant from Operation fuel as well as the local fuel bank funded by private donors.
Intervention and Referral-During the period January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, the Organization provided 919 cases of intervention and referral services to Plainville individuals and/or families to help reduce the dependence on the food pantry and assist them to find economic and social self-sufficiency.
