Our mission is to advance the independence and full citizenship of people with disabilities; provide community based quality services; create opportunities for choice and increase ability to manage personal needs; provide information and access to available resources and services; and promote increased public awareness of persons with disabilities.
United Cerebral Palsy of Eastern Connecticut's mission is to advance the independence and full citizenship of people with disabilities.
Our Day Programs offer daily opportunities for people with disabilities to enhance skills while providing for their personal care and safety. Choice is emphasized in all activities and self advocacy is encouraged. Services are based upon the individual's needs and take place both on site and in the community.
We provide services to individuals living in their own home in the community to enable each person maximum independence while providing them with person-centered supports. UCP's supported living services include a cluster setting with on-site support and emergency on-call assistance. Health care coordination services are available.
Employment - Provide training and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities so that they can obtain competitive employment.
