Organizations Filed Purposes: RECOVERY NETWORK OF PROGRAMS, INC. ("RNP"), IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT HAS BEEN SERVING THE GREATER BRIDGEPORT AREA FOR OVER FORTY-FIVE YEARS. RNP'S MISSION IS TO RESTORE HOPE, HEALTH, AND WELL BEING FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN A RECOVERY ENVIRONMENT THAT EMBRACES COMPASSION, DIGNITY AND RESPECT.

The Center for Human Services (CHS) located in Stratford, Connecticut is a CARF accredited, Department of Public Health licensed a medication-assisted treatment program for INDIVIDUALS WITH AN opiate addicTION. PRESCRIBED methadone or buprenorphine/suboxone, and supportive counseling in conjunction with other support and referral services. The persons served to attend individual counseling to address drug use/abuse, personal/family, employment, health, and legal issues. Group and family counseling are offered to those who voluntarily seek additional support. With regard to outcome measures, 97% of clients were arrest-free upon discharge, 95% maintained or improved their level of functioning, and 76% of clients either reduced and/or eliminate their substance abuse. A Special Populations Program is also housed at CHS. The program provides support to individuals living with HIV. The clients attend individual counseling to address substance abuse, personal/family, employment, health, and legal issues. Groups and family counseling are also provided to those who are interested AND voluntarily seek additional support. CHS exhibited an average rating of 89% for "Satisfaction with Services" with the consumer satisfaction survey.

The Kinsella Treatment Center (KTC) located in Bridgeport, Connecticut is a CARF accredited, Department of Public Health licensed, a medication-assisted program for persons utilizing prescribed methadone or buprenorphine/suboxone, and supportive counseling in conjunction with other support and referral services. Individual, family, and/or group counseling sessions are held at least monthly but more frequently as needed and referrals are made to self-help groups both while in treatment and as a form of aftercare. With regards to outcome measures, 97% of the clients were arrest-free upon discharge, 89% maintained or improved their level of functioning, and 61% of clients either reduced and/or eliminate their substance abuse. KTC also provides clients with the option of a three-month methadone detoxification program. Individual, family, and group counseling are provided weekly and referrals are made to self-help groups, both while in treatment and after treatment ends.

FIRST STEP (RESIDENTIAL DETOXIFICATION PROGRAM) - THIS IS A HIGHLY STRUCTURED INPATIENT MEDICALLY MONITORED DETOXIFICATION PROGRAM, LOCATED IN BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT. THIS PROGRAM OFFERS INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING, GROUP THERAPY, CASE MANAGEMENT, REFERRAL SERVICES FOR CONTINUING CARE, AND MEDICAL MANAGEMENT. FIRST STEP IS A CARF ACCREDITED, DPH LICENSED 27 BED RESIDENTIAL DETOX UNIT FOR INDIVIDUALS AGED 18 AND OVER STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION TO ALCOHOL, OPIATES, AND/OR BENZODIAZEPINES. THE PROGRAM MAINTAINED AN AVERAGE UTILIZATION RATE OF 96% FOR THE FISCAL YEAR. Sixty-nine PERCENT OF THESE CLIENTS COMPLETED THEIR DETOX BEFORE MOVING ON TO THEIR NEXT LEVEL OF CARE TO CONTINUE THEIR SOBRIETY.
