Land acquisition to preserve open space. The NCLT acquired 11 acres of open space and made a grant of $10,000 to the CT Farmland Trust to help fund the preservation of 51 acres of farmland in Vernon CT. Expenses include the cost of a survey for the pending purchase of 118 acres of open space.
Stewardship of properties owned by the Land Trust: The organization owns more than 1,700 acres of open space that is open to the public for passive recreation.
