MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS - THE AFSAEF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM WAS HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL WITH 30 PARTICIPANTS FROM 9 AFSA MEMBER COMPANIES. SESSIONS FOCUSED ON MANAGING AND LEADING, STRATEGY ISSUES, ETHICS, DEVELOPING AND DELIVERING PROFESSIONAL PRESENTATIONS, TEAM BUILDING, NEGOTIATIONS, CHANGE SIMULATION, INDUSTRY UPDATE, AND C-SUITE LEADER PERSPECTIVES. THE EDGE - EDUCATION, DEVELOPMENT, GROWTH AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAM WAS HELD AT MERCER UNIVERSITY IN ATLANTA WITH 88 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS FROM 21 AFSA MEMBER COMPANIES. THE INDUSTRY'S TOP EXECUTIVES AND SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS TAUGHT 19 DIFFERENT SESSIONS WITH TOPICS RANGING FROM TIME MANAGEMENT TO LEADERSHIP. A CULMINATING ACTIVITY INCLUDED C-SUITE PANELISTS SHARING THEIR PERSONAL PATHS TO SUCCESS.
MONEYSKILL - AN ONLINE PERSONAL FINANCE COURSE WITH 37 MODULES IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH, EDUCATES STUDENTS ON BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF MONEY-MANAGEMENT FUNDAMENTALS AND IS AVAILABLE TO SCHOOLS AT NO COST. THE CURRICULUM INCLUDES CONTENT AREAS OF INCOME, EXPENSES, SAVING AND INVESTING, CREDIT AND INSURANCE. THE COURSE IS DESIGNED TO BE USED AS ALL OR PART OF A PERSONAL FINANCE COURSE. TWO VERSIONS ARE AVAILABLE: HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE (ADAPTABLE FOR USE BY HOME SCHOOLERS AND/OR EMPLOYERS) AND MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL. AFSAEF CONDUCTED FULL CURRICULUM REVIEW AND UPDATE, LAUNCHED AN AMBASSADOR PROGRAM, AND CONDUCTED OUTREACH TO OVER 19,000 INDIVIDUALS VIA CONFERENCES AND ORGANIZATIONAL COLLABORATION.
