OUR GOAL IS TO ADVANCE STATE POLICIES THAT LEAD TO IMPROVED HEALTH, LEARNING, AND FAMILY SUPPORT OUTCOMES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AGES BIRTH THROUGH EIGHT. WE CREATE AND ENHANCE PARTNERSHIPS BY BRINGING LEADERS TOGETHER IN NEW AND INNOVATIVE WAYS, WITH THE GOAL OF ACHIEVING RESULTS FASTER AND BETTER THAN ANYONE COULD DO ALONE. THE BIRTH THROUGH EIGHT STATE POLICY FRAMEWORK IS A TOOL, OR ROADMAP, THAT ANYONE CAN USE TO GUIDE POLICY IN WAYS THAT WILL IMPROVE THE HEALTH, LEARNING, AND ECONOMIC OUTCOMES FOR VULNERABLE YOUNG CHILDREN. THE FRAMEWORK OUTLINES THREE POLICY PRIORITY AREAS ESSENTIAL FOR THE HEALTHY GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG CHILDREN: HEALTH, FAMILY SUPPORT, AND LEARNING. EVIDENCE-BASED AND INNOVATIVE BEST PRACTICE POLICY OPTIONS ARE PROVIDED IN EACH OF THE POLICY AREAS.
INVESTMENT IN HIGH-POTENTIAL STATE ADVOCACY 501(C)3 ORGANIZATIONS - THE ALLIANCE ACHIEVES SCALE AND PERMANENCY FOR ESSENTIAL PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG CHILDREN BY INVESTING IN ADVOCACY FOR BOTH EXPANDED STATE EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM FUNDING AND MORE EQUITABLE EARLY CHILDHOOD POLICIES. WE MONITOR OPPORTUNITES AND THREATS IN ALL 50 STATES PLUS THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND MAKE GRANTS OUT OF OUR POOLED FUND IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE HIGHEST LONG-TERM IMPACT AND RETURN.L NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
PROVISION OF A BEST-IN-CLASS TECHINCAL ASSISTANCE NETWORK FOR STATE ADVOCATES - THE ALLIANCE FURTHER EQUIPS STATE ADVOCATES TO EDUCATE POLICYMAKERS AND COMMUNNITIES BY FUNDING NATIONAL EXPERTS TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE RESEARCH AND ADVISEMENT THEY NEED TO BE EFFECTIVE. OUR LONG-STANDING RELATIONSHIPS IN BOTH NATIONAL AND STATE ORGANIZATIONS MAKES THE ALLIANCE UNIQUELY EQUIPPED TO "MATCH" ADVOCATES WITH THE RESOURCES THAT HELP THEM WIN NEW SUPPORT FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD IN THEIR STATES. LANDSCAPE AND OPPORTUNITY ANALYSIS - THE ALLIANCE ENSURES MAXIMUM RETURN ON INVESTMENT IN EARLY CHILDHOOD ADVOCACY THROUGH STAFF THAT WORK ONE-ON-ONE WITH STATE EARLY CHILDHOOD ADVOCACY NON-PROFITS TO IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITY AND CONSULT ON STRATEGY.
