RESEARCH AND OUTREACHENERGY EFFICIENCY IS ESSENTIAL TO COMBATING CLIMATE CHANGE. IT CAN HALVE ENERGY USE AND EMISSIONS, GETTING US HALFWAY TO U.S. CLIMATE GOALS. OUR RESEARCH FOCUSES ON EFFICIENCY AS A TOOL THAT NOT ONLY PROTECTS OUR CLIMATE BUT ALSO CREATES JOBS, REDUCES UTILITY BILLS, CLEANS THE AIR, IMPROVES OUR HEALTH, AND BOOSTS RESILIENCE. WE ALSO WORK TO DECARBONIZE INDUSTRY, TRACK ADVANCES IN RENEWABLE POWER IN ADDITION TO ENERGY EFFICIENCY, AND INCREASE THE NUMBER OF GRID-INTERACTIVE EFFICIENT BUILDINGS AND ELECTRIC VEHICLES. ALL OF OUR WORK IS GROUNDED IN A FOUNDATION OF EQUITY AND ACCESS TO A CLEAN ENERGY ECONOMY.
CONFERENCESWE SPARK ADVANCEMENTS IN INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, POLICIES, AND PROGRAMS BY CONVENING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AT OUR CONFERENCES AND VIRTUAL EVENTS EACH YEAR. WE HOLD NEARLY 20 WEBINARS ANNUALLY TO DISCUSS OUR RESEARCH AND RELATED TOPICS. IN TYPICAL YEARS, WE HOLD FIVE CONFERENCES ANNUALLY ON TOPICS SUCH AS HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT, AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY AS A RESOURCE.
