Organizations Filed Purposes: THE MISSION OF THE AMERICAN GAS FOUNDATION IS TO BE AN INDEPENDENT SOURCE OF INFORMATION, RESEARCH AND PROGRAMS ON ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES THAT AFFECT PUBLIC POLICY, WITH A PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON NATURAL GAS.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR REDUCING GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS THROUGH EMERGING NATURAL GAS DIRECT-USE TECHNOLOGIES STUDY OBJECTIVE: TO DEVELOP A COMPREHENSIVE SCENARIO-BASED ANALYSIS ON THE EMISSIONS REDUCTION POTENTIAL OF EMERGING RESIDENTIAL NATURAL GAS DIRECT-USE TECHNOLOGIES THAT WOULD HELP INFORM POLICYMAKERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S KNOWLEDGE BASE ON HOW NATURAL GAS CAN BE A SOLUTION FOR ACHIEVING COST-EFFECTIVE GREENHOUSE EMISSIONS REDUCTIONS. THE STUDY FOCUSED ON THE PRIORITIZED EMERGING RESIDENTIAL DIRECT-USE TECHNOLOGIES THAT ARE EXPECTED TO BE COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE WITHIN 3-5 YEARS.ACHIEVEMENTS: THIS STUDY WAS SPONSORED BY 16 ORGANIZATIONS AND WAS DELIVERED ON-TIME AND ON-BUDGET. IT HAS BEEN DISTRIBUTED TO A WIDE RANGE OF ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING NATURAL GAS UTILITIES, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS, AND POLICYMAKERS. THE KEY FINDINGS FROM THE STUDY HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN PRESENTATIONS DELIVERED AT NUMEROUS CONFERENCES AND WEBINARS SINCE IT WAS RELEASED IN DECEMBER 2019.

RENEWABLE SOURCES OF NATURAL GAS: SUPPLY AND EMISSIONS REDUCTION ASSESSMENT STUDY OBJECTIVE: TO EXPAND POLICYMAKERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S KNOWLEDGE BASE ON HOW NATURAL GAS CAN CONTRIBUTE TO REDUCING GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS THROUGH A NEW STUDY THAT WILL ASSESS ALL OPPORTUNITIES TO UTILIZE THE NATURAL GAS PIPELINE SYSTEM TO DELIVER RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS TO ALL SECTORS OF THE ECONOMY. THE RESOURCE POTENTIAL ASSESSMENT WILL INCLUDE ALL TECHNOLOGIES AVAILABLE FOR PRODUCING RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:- LANDFILL GAS TO GAS- WASTEWATER TO GAS- ANAEROBIC DIGESTION AND GASIFICATION TECHNOLOGIES FOR PRODUCING RNG BY FEEDSTOCK TYPE - P2G FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN AND METHANE FROM SOURCES OF RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY ACHIEVEMENTS: THIS STUDY WAS SPONSORED BY 16 ORGANIZATIONS AND WAS DELIVERED ON-TIME AND ON-BUDGET. IT HAS BEEN DISTRIBUTED TO A WIDE RANGE OF ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING NATURAL GAS UTILITIES, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS AND POLICYMAKERS. THE KEY FINDINGS FROM THE STUDY HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN PRESENTATIONS DELIVERED NUMEROUS CONFERENCES AND WEBINARS SINCE IT WAS RELEASED IN DECEMBER 2019. THE STUDY HAS ALSO BEEN CITED IN NUMEROUS ARTICLES AND OTHER STUDIES RELATING TO RENEWABLE SOURCES OF NATURAL GAS.
