THE ASSOCIATION OF SCIENCE-TECHNOLOGY CENTERS INCORPORATED (ASTC) IS AN ORGANIZATION OF SCIENCE CENTERS AND MUSEUMS DEDICATED TO FURTHERING THE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF SCIENCE AMONG DIVERSE AUDIENCES. ASTC ENCOURAGES EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION IN INFORMAL SCIENCE LEARNING BY SERVING AND LINKING ITS MEMBERS WORLDWIDE AND ADVANCING THEIR COMMON GOALS. THROUGH STRATEGIC ALLIANCES AND GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS, ASTC ALSO SUPPORTS SCIENCE CENTERS AND MUSEUMS IN PROACTIVELY ADDRESSING CRITICAL SOCIETAL ISSUES, LOCALLY AND GLOBALLY, WHERE UNDERSTANDING OF AND ENGAGEMENT WITH SCIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL.

CAISE - THE CENTER FOR ADVANCEMENT OF INFORMAL SCIENCE EDUCATION (CAISE) IS A NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION-FUNDED PROJECT TO BUILD AND ADVANCE THE INFORMAL STEM EDUCATION FIELD BY PROVIDING INFRASTRUCTURE, RESOURCES AND CONNECTIVITY FOR EDUCATORS, RESEARCHERS, EVALUATORS AND OTHER INTERESTED STAKEHOLDERS.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE - EACH YEAR, NEARLY 2,000 INDIVIDUALS REPRESENTING SCIENCE CENTERS AND MUSEUMS FROM ACROSS THE WORLD, INFORMAL SCIENCE EDUCATORS, AND COMPANIES COLLABORATING WITH THE MUSEUM FIELD GATHER FOR ASTC'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE - ONE OF THE PREMIER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE GLOBAL SCIENCE CENTER COMMUNITY. THE CONFERENCE INCLUDES GENERAL SESSIONS, CONCURRENT SESSIONS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS.
GLOBAL PROGRAMS:PUBLIC AWARENESS OUTREACH AND PROGRAMS - ESTABLISHES A DIALOGUE WITH INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH, BUSINESS, TECHNOLOGY, AND EDUCATION ORGANIZATIONS TO POSITION THE SCIENCE MUSEUM FIELD AS A POTENTIAL PARTNER FOR THE DISSEMINATION OF THE SCIENCE BEHIND GLOBAL ISSUES, UTILIZES AN ARRAY OF PROJECTS AMONG SCIENCE CENTERS WORLDWIDE TO RAISE THE PUBLIC'S AWARENESS ABOUT CRITICAL SCIENCE AND SOCIETAL ISSUES SUCH AS CLIMATE CHANGE, BIOTECHNOLOGY, AND ACCESS TO EDUCATION.INTERNATIONAL NETWORK AND MEMBER COLLABORATIONS - WORKS WITH NATIONAL AND REGIONAL SCIENCE CENTER NETWORKS OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR SCIENCE CENTERS AND MUSEUMS WORLDWIDE.INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE CENTER AND SCIENCE MUSEUM DAY - IN COLLABORATION WITH GLOBAL SCIENCE CENTER NETWORKS AND UNESCO, ASTC HELPS TO COORDINATE THIS NATIONAL DAY OF ACTIVITY AND PUBLIC PROGRAMS ANNUALLY ON NOVEMBER 10.
