The mission of the Organization is to revitalize the area of Washington, DC, Eighth Street, SE, as a vibrant corridor that reconnects Capitol Hill to the Anacostia River.
Barracks Row Main Street has worked in the past year to provide extensive small business technical assistance to our small and local business community, to administer grant programs that provide critical funding for the restoration and rehabilitation of historic commercial facades, and to put on a full slate of events that help bring "feet to the street" to enhance the business opportunities of our local restaurants and shops. In addition, we have helped to retain and recruit small and local businesses to 8th St SE, that aid in our efforts to create a diverse and vibrant commercial corridor where residents and visitors alike want to work, shop and dine.
