EACH MATCH IS CAREFULLY ADMINISTRATED BY TRAINED PERSONNEL WHO ARE GUIDED BY RIGOROUS STANDARDS. PROFESSIONAL CASEWORKS PROVIDE ONGOING SUPPORT AND SUPERVISION TO ALL PARTICIPANTS, INCLUDING THE FAMILY. THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF A MATCH IN THE METROPOLITAN WASHINGTON AREA IS OVER FOUR YEARS. FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2018, APPROXIMATELY 650 CHILDREN, SINGLE PARENTS, GUARDIANS AND MENTORS BENEFITED FROM THE MONITORING PROGRAMS.

BUIILDING POSITIVE FUTURES PLUS TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION:BPF+ IS A SCHOOL-BASED TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION PROGRAM, FUNDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH OPEN TOYOUTH FROM 14-18 YEARS OLD IN THE 9TH-12TH GRADES WHO ARE AT RISK IN SELECTED PARTNER SCHOOLS. THE PROGRAM HAS A FOCUS ON TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION, HEALTH ISSUES, AVOIDING RISKY BEHAVIOR AND CREATINGPOSITIVE FUTURES,WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SAFE SEX, SHORT AND LONG TERM CONTRACEPTIVES,KNOWLEDGE OF STD'S AND STI'S, REFERRAL TO SCHOOL BASED-HEALTH CARE CENTERS, ABSTINENCE, BETTER REFUSAL AND DECISION MAKING SKILLS AND YOUTH EMPOWMENT.

SUCCESS 360:THIS PROGRAM IS AN ANTI-SMOKING PROGRAM FUNDED BY ALTRIA THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BBBSNCA NATIONAL OFFICE. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON DISCOURAGING YOUTH FROM STARTING TO SMOKE AND A CESSATION PROGRAM WITH SIX CESSATION SESSIONS PROVIDED TO HELP OUR YOUTH WHO ARE ALREADY ADDICTED TO SMOKING, TO QUIT SMOKING.
