GREATER & GREENER 2021BEGAN PLANNING FOR THE NEXT CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN PHILADELPHIA. HIRED THREE CONSULTANTS: LEAD EVENT COORDINATOR, CONFERENCE CONTENT CONSULTANT, AND A LOCAL CONFERENCE LOGISTICS CONSULTANT. BEGAN FUNDRAISING THROUGH GRANTS AND SPONSORSHIPS. CONTINUED WORK ON PERMANENT AND FULL FUNDING OF THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MAYORS FOR PARKS COALITION. ORGANIZED A HILL BRIEFING RELATED TO THE OUTDOOR RECREATION LEGACY PARTNERSHIP GRANT PROGRAM. WORKED WITH THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CIVIL ENGINEERS ON AN IN-PERSON EVENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH INFRASTRUCTURE WEEK. PUBLISHED CASE STUDIES OF HOW PARKS ARE BEING USED TO ADVANCE MULTIPLE ECONOMIC, ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL GOALS IN CITIES.
ORGANIZED FOUR PARKXCHANGE CITY WORKSHOPS IN BROWNSVILLE, TX, BALTIMORE, MD, CHATTANOOGA, TN, AND WASHINGTON, DC, ALL SUPPORTED THROUGH A JPB FOUNDATION GRANT. WORKED WITH SAN JOSE TO DEVELOP RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PARK GOVERNANCE MODELS THROUGH A GRANT FROM THE KNIGHT FOUNDATION. NOTE: IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS FOR CHATTANOOGA, WASHINGTON, DC AND SAN JOSE, HAVE BEEN PUT ON HOLD UNTIL LATER IN THE FALL OR TRANSITIONED TO VIRTUAL FORMAT.
