Coin Center is the leading non-profit research and advocacy center focused on the public policy issues facing cryptocurrency technologies such as Bitcoin. Our mission is to build a better understanding of these technologies and to promote a regulatory climate that preserves the freedom to innovate using block chain technologies. We do this by producing and publishing policy research from respected academics and experts, educating policymakers and the media about block chain technology, and by engaging in advocacy for sound public policy.
Through our engagement with policymakers at all levels of government, we have found that the top issues facing cryptocurrencies are questions about consumer protection, securities and commodities regulation, financial surveillance, and privacy.
Advocacy - Coin Center educates and advocates for our research and education solutions in order to keep cryptocurrency networks open, decentralized, and permissionless to regulators, legislators and other policy makers.
