Organizations Filed Purposes: TCP'S MISSION IS TO CULTIVATE AND LEVERAGE BIPARTISAN RESPECT FOR THE U.S. CONSTITUTION AND OUR DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM IN ORDER TO AGGRESSIVELY PURSUE PUBLIC POLICIES THAT ADVANCE LIBERTY, JUSTICE, AND EQUALITY. THE ORGANIZATION BRINGS TOGETHER AND PROMOTES THE POWERFUL VOICES OF HIGHLY REGARDED EXPERTS WHOSE COMMITMENT TO THESE VALUES AND OTHER PRINCIPLES EMBODIED IN THE CONSTITUTION OVERCOMES THEIR POLITICAL AND IDEOLOGICAL DIFFERENCES.

THE CONSTITUTION PROJECT (TCP) CREATES COALITIONS OF RESPECTED LEADERS FROM ACROSS THE POLITICAL SPECTRUM IN ORDER TO PROMOTE AND SAFEGUARD AMERICA'S FOUNDING CHARTER. TCP IS WORKING TO REFORM THE NATION'S BROKEN CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM AND STRENGTHEN THE RULE OF LAW THROUGH SCHOLARSHIP,CONSENSUS POLICY REFORMS, ADVOCACY AND PUBLIC EDUCATION.IN ADDITION TO RECEIVING CONTRIBUTIONS FROM FOUNDATIONS AND THE PUBLIC, TCP RECEIVES PRO BONO LEGAL SERVICES TO ASSIST WITH AMICUS BRIEFS, POLICY ANALYSIS, AND REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

PRIVACY AND FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS IN THE DIGITAL AGE - THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPS CONSENSUS-BASED SOLUTIONS AND ADVOCATES FOR REFORMS THAT SAFEGUARD PERSONAL INFORMATION, PRIVACY AND FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS AFFECTED BY RAPID TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS.

GOVERNMENT TRANSPARENCY AND OVERSIGHT - THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPS AND ADVANCES BIPARTISAN POLICY SOLUTIONS THAT MAKE GOVERNMENT MORE OPEN AND ACCOUNTABLE AND OTHERWISE FOSTER RESPECT FOR CHECKS AND BALANCES AND THE SEPARATION OF POWERS.

THE GOAL IS TO ENSURE THAT OUR GOVERNMENT RESPECTS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS WHILE EXERCISING ITS LAW ENFORCEMENT, NATIONAL SECURITY AND IMMIGRATION POWERS.
