ADVOCACY - ED FORWARD DC BELIEVES THAT EDUCATION POLICIES SHOULD SUSTAIN D.C.'S PROGRESS THAT CREATE THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH GREAT SCHOOLS CAN OPEN AND GROW. SCHOOLS SHOULD REFLECT THE CITYWIDE DIVERSITY OF STUDENT NEEDS AND INTERESTS SO THAT EVERY STUDENT CAN GROW.- THE ADVOCACY STRATEGY IS BASED ON BUILDING CITYWIDE CAPACITY TO ADVOCATE FOR POLICY CHANGES ON ISSUES THAT MOST INFLUENCE SCHOOL QUALITY, INCLUDING EFFICIENT AND EQUITABLE ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES, STRONG ACCOUNTABILITY, SCHOOL AUTONOMY AND EQUITY.
TALENT - ED FORWARD DC INVESTS IN HUMAN CAPITAL ORGANIZATIONS TO ENSURE THAT SCHOOLS HAVE GREAT TEACHERS AND LEADERS.- TEACHER PIPELINES AND DEVELOPMENT: STRENGTHENING ORGANIZATIONS TO RECRUIT, TRAIN AND RETAIN HIGH-QUALITY TEACHERS.- LEADERSHIP PIPELINES AND DEVELOPMENT: INVESTING IN ORGANIZATIONS TO DEVELOP AND SUPPORT GREAT LEADERS TO SUSTAIN AND GROW HIGH-PERFORMING SCHOOLS.- TALENT MANAGEMENT: SUPPORTING CAPACITY-BUILDING AT SCHOOLS AND NETWORKS OF SCHOOLS TO IMPROVE SYSTEMS, STRUCTURES AND PRACTICES TO ATTRACT, DEVELOP AND RETAIN EFFECTIVE TALENT.
