Organizations Filed Purposes: TO REPRESENT AND ACTIVELY PROMOTE THE INTERESTS OF ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE COMPANIES WITH A FOCUS ON PUBLIC POLICY ISSUES AFFECTING MEMBER COMPANIES, INCLUDING TAX, DISCRETE PERMITTING ISSUES, AND OTHER MATTERS OF IMPORTANCE TO THE MEMBERSHIP. TRADE ASSOCIATION DEDICATED TO ADVANCING THE INTERESTS OF COMPANIES THAT DEVELOP AND OPERATE ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE - AND THOSE WHO WORK FOR THEM.

FEDERAL AFFAIRS: THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTED ITS MEMBERS BY MONITORING AND ADVOCATING FOR FEDERAL TAX LEGISLATION AFFECTING ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE COMPANIES, INCLUDING PUBLICLY TRADED PARTNERSHIPS, EDUCATING MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AND THEIR STAFFS ABOUT ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE COMPANIES AND THEIR ECONOMIC CONTRIBUTION. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO MONITORED REGULATORY GUIDANCE ISSUED BY THE IRS AND THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT AND WORKED TO ADDRESS ANY ISSUES RAISED BY SUCH GUIDANCE. IN ADDITION, THE ASSOCIATION REPORTED TO ITS MEMBERS AND ORGANIZED A RESPONSE TO A NEW COURT RULING IMPACTING FERC POLICY ON RATEMAKING FOR PIPELINE MLPS.

STATE AFFAIRS: THE ASSOCIATION MONITORED STATE LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY ACTIONS AFFECTING ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE COMPANIES AND PUBLICLY TRADED PARTNERSHIPS AND THEIR UNITHOLDERS, PRIMARILY IN THE AREA OF TAXATION, AND WORKED TO CHANGE MEASURES THAT WOULD HAVE AN ADVERSE IMPACT.

PUBLIC/INVESTOR RELATIONS: ORGANIZED ANNUAL MLP AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTOR CONFERENCE THAT ATTRACTED SEVERAL HUNDRED ATTENDEES; COMMUNICATED WITH A NUMBER OF INVESTORS AND POTENTIAL INVESTORS IN PUBLICLY TRADED PARTNERSHIPS AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE COMPANIES THROUGH ASSOCIATION WEBSITE, AND LIVE PRESENTATIONS TO AND MEETINGS WITH INVESTOR GROUPS.
