Groundswell International, Inc. (Groundswell) strengthens communities to build healthy farming and food systems from the ground up. Groundswell's programs address the root causes of food insecurity, economic vulnerability, and social marginalization with a practical, "learning by doing" approach that builds participants' confidence while meeting their basic needs. We work closely with local partner organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, and West Africa. While each regional program design responds to its unique people and context, Groundswell's core program services focus on: Building capacity, improving sustainable food production, regenerating land, rural livelihood opportunities and local markets, and emphasizing the empowerment of women and other marginalized people.
