HALIFAX SEEKS TO BUILD DEMOCRACY, CREATE OPPORTUNITY AND PROMOTE PEACE. IN 2019, HALIFAX HELD THE 11TH ANNUAL SECURITY CONFERENCE IN NOVA SCOTIA AND HALIFAX CELEBRATED ITS 8TH ANNIVERSAY AS A FULLY- INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION.

PEACE WITH WOMEN FELLOWSHIP: HALIFAX INTERNATIONAL SECURITY FORUM'S PEACE WITH WOMEN FELLOWSHIP BRINGS TOGETHER SENIOR, ACTIVE-DUTY, FEMALE MILITARY OFFICERS FROM NATO MEMBER AND PARTNER COUNTRIES FOR A 3-WEEK EXECUTIVE TOUR OF THE POLITICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL CAPITALS OF THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA. THE FELLOWSHIP TAKES PLACE FROM OCTOBER TO NOVEMBER AND CONCLUDES WITH THE ANNUAL HALIFAX INTERNATIONAL SECURITY FORUM WHERE FELLOWS WILL PARTICIPATE IN CONVERSATIONS THAT SHAPE THE FUTURE OF DEMOCRACY AND GLOBAL SECURITY.

THE LONDON DINNER SERIES 2019 CONVENED WORKING DINNERS AT THE HOUSE OF LORDS IN GREAT BRITAIN TO DISCUSS STRATEGIC THREATS TO DEMOCRACIES IN AN INTERNATIONAL SETTING. LEADERS IN POLICYMAKING, ACADEMIA, AND BUSINESS FROM AROUND WORLD PARTICIPATED IN INTIMATE OFF-THE-RECORD DISCUSSIONS.
