WE ALSO BEGAN A RESEARCH PROJECT ON GENDER AND POWER, ASSESSING HOW DISPARITY AND OBSTACLES NARRATIVES ABOUT WOMEN AND POWER UNDERMINES THE LIKELIHOOD OF WOMEN BEING ELECTED OR HIRED IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY. WE ARE WORKING WITH EMILY BALCETIS AT NYU AND FREE RADICALS, LED BY DOROTHY Q. THOMAS.WORKSHOPS:PERCEPTION HAS DELIVERED WORKSHOPS INCLUDING SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, COURTS, ASSOCIATIONS FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION, FEDERAL AND STATE PROSECUTORS, COUNTY GOVERNMENT, LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT, AND BAR ASSOCIATIONS.
PROGRESSIVE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE PROJECT:THE PROGRESSIVE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (PLI) IS A NONPARTISAN POLICY AND LEADERSHIP CENTER ORGANIZED TO RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS ON KEY ISSUES OF EQUITY AND JUSTICE AND TO DEVELOP PUBLIC LEADERS WHO WILL IMPROVE THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS OF ALL AMERICANS.
