IMT IS A STRATEGIC AND TECHNICAL PARTNER TO STATE, LOCAL, AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LEADERS AND COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS, USING OUR EXPERTISE IN BUILDING SCIENCE, ENERGY, AND REAL ESTATE BUSINESS PRACTICES TO ADVANCE BUILDING DECARBONIZATION POLICY SOLUTIONS

CODES AND REGULATORY ENGAGEMENT: CODES AND REGULATION FRAME THE LEGAL ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH BUILDINGS ARE CONSTRUCTED AND USED, EXERTING A LARGE INFLUENCE ON THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT. IMT WORKS WITH ENERGY CODE DEVELOPMENT BODIES TO INCORPORATE INCREASING EFFICIENCY, ELECTRIFICATION AND GRID INTERACTIVITY INTO NEW CODES. WE BRING TOGETHER CITIES TO MORE EFFECTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN UTILITY PROCEEDINGS AND MAKE UTILITY POLICIES AND PROGRAMS MORE SUPPORTIVE OF BUILDING PERFORMANCE STANDARDS. AND WE WORK TO OVERCOME THE STATUTORY BARRIERS THAT INHIBIT REGULATORS FROM BEING MORE SUPPORTIVE OF IMPROVING BUILDING PERFORMANCE.
