Organizations Filed Purposes:
We select timely and compelling justice issues and choose nonprofits that address those issues, then organize concerts and other events to raise awareness and funding for our grantee partner and annual cause. In 2020 our focus was voter engagement and fighting voter suppression.
In 2020 JusticeAid hosted virtual programs designed to raise awareness about our 2020 cause: voter engagement and fighting voter suppression. JusticeAid hosted a Spring and Fall concert, a DJ set, a film forum that awarded prizes to youth filmmakers for short films on social justice causes, and a public forum in partnership with the Riverside Church of New York, Lift Every Voice and Vote, that educated the public about voter suppression. We also produced an educational music blog, Songs of Protest: 12 Months of Music That Matters. A circle of loyal donors covers all operating costs and program expenses so that 100% of other donations supports our grantee partners work.
