CENSUS / GET OUT THE COUNT: THE CENSUS COUNTS CAMPAIGN IS A PUBLIC EDUCATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND OUTREACH DRIVE DESIGNED TO ENSURE MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION-PARTICULARLY AMONG THE HARDEST-TO-COUNT (HTC) COMMUNITIES, SUCH AS PEOPLE OF COLOR, URBAN AND LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS, IMMIGRANTS, LIMITED-ENGLISH PROFICIENT POPULATIONS, AND YOUNG CHILDREN-IN THE 2020 CENSUS. THE CAMPAIGN BRINGS TOGETHER COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS A WIDE SPECTRUM OF ADVOCACY: CIVIL RIGHTS, IMMIGRANT, LGBTQ, DISABILITY, INFANT AND CHILD, POVERTY AND HOMELESSNESS, FAITH-BASED, LABOR, HEALTH CARE, EDUCATION, YOUTH, AND MORE. THROUGH EDUCATION, TRAINING, ORGANIZING, AND OUTREACH, THESE ORGANIZERS AND ADVOCATES ARE WORKING TO ENSURE COMMUNITIES THE CENSUS HAS HISTORICALLY MISSED ARE COUNTED IN THE 2020 CENSUS.

ALL VOTING IS LOCAL (AVL): AVL LAUNCHED IN 2018, FIGHTS MODERN-DAY VOTER SUPPRESSION WITH MODERN-DAY SOLUTIONS, DEPLOYING A THREE-PRONGED APPROACH OF: DATA DRIVEN ORGANIZING, STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS, AND BUILDING GRASSROOTS POWER. THE COLLABORATIVE CAMPAIGN HOUSED AT THE EDUCATION FUND FIGHTS TO ELIMINATE NEEDLESS AND DISCRIMINATORY BARRIERS TO VOTING BEFORE THEY HAPPEN, TO BUILD A DEMOCRACY THAT WORKS FOR US ALL. AVL'S LONG-TERM GOAL IS TO ELIMINATE NEEDLESS AND DISCRIMINATORY BARRIERS TO VOTING, LEVERAGING THE COLLECTIVE STRENGTH OF LOCAL AND NATIONAL PARTNERS.

EDUCATION: THE EDUCATION FUND'S EDUCATION EQUITY PROGRAM WORKS TOWARDS ENSURING ALL YOUNG PEOPLE ARE FULLY INCLUDED IN RESPONSIVE, WELCOMING, RIGOROUS, AND FAIRLY RESOURCED SCHOOLS FROM EARLY CHILDHOOD THROUGH HIGHER EDUCATION THAT PREPARE ALL OF THEM FOR COLLEGE, CAREERS, LIFE, AND THE FULL EXERCISE OF THEIR SOCIAL, POLITICAL, AND ECONOMIC RIGHTS. OUR GOAL IS TO TRANSFORM EDUCATION DECISION-MAKING AT EVERY LEVEL SO THAT MARGINALIZED STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES DRIVE DECISION-MAKING.
